This parish has experience with sudden departures. Fr. Randy Thomas left suddenly and the reasons were left open to speculation. People who care will look for answers. This parish cares. If answers are not forthcoming, speculation (rumors) will naturally follow. I truly believe that there are deficiencies in our administrative structures that need examination. There are holes in the dike that need plugging, if you will. Otherwise, we are likely to repeat, yet again, this painful process. I am interested in solutions, not blaming. What could we (or should we) do differently??

I think that because Father George's sudden departure it leaves the doors open to gossip and rumors. Alot of people are feeling hurt, abandoned and just plain sad because there was no chance to say goodbye. We need as a parish family to stay strong in our faith and seek comfort and healing in the brothers and sisters who sit beside us and with us at each mass. As we go into Holy Week together I hope we can find peace in our hearts to carry on and be strong. May our Heavenly Father watch over us and guide us on this new journey together. Love, hugs and prayers to all!
